XCR is Cinelli’s cutting edge of cycling technology in steel. A frame with a soul, named after the material it is made of: Columbus XCr tubing, a unique seamless tube in bi-phasic stainless steel. Classic Italian track racing geometry, round tubes, slightly oversize (38.4 mm for the oblique with the ellipse oriented on the side of the bottom bracket). Unbeatable to create a light, unparalleled vibration-absorbing, eternal bicycle frame. Now updated to the much awaited disc brake, while keeping its traditional while contemporary clean and nude look.

It was back in 2007 when Columbus launched XCr HINOXtube on the market, the result of an incredible commitment of R&D department: the world’s first tubeset of cold-drawn seamless stainless steel tubes (cold-drawn between 12 and 15 times, up to a thickness of 0.35 - 0.4 mm).
With incomparable characteristics, for an extraordinary stiffness/weight and tensile strength ratio, superior to that of aluminium and titanium. Undoubtedly the most significant innovation of the last thirty years in the performance steel bicycle sector.
Today, the flat mount disc brake has become a standard, so XCR moves to disc brake. Nevertheless, the unmissable winged shape dropouts keep recalling Italo Lupi's iconic winged C. Design. Funtion and heritage merge in one single detail.
